More Details About the Tour Aspendos, Side and Manavgat waterfall tour from Turkler invites you to discover some of the most important archaeological sites in southern Turkey and a beautiful waterfall, all located near Turkler.
Our tour begins with a visit to the famous Greco-Roman amphitheater of Aspendos (2nd century AD), one of the best-preserved theaters from antiquity, with a capacity of 15,000. Aspendos is located approximately 60 km from Turkler. One of the best-preserved theaters in the world, Aspendos is still in operation and offers performances such as operas and ballets thanks to its exceptional acoustics.
We then continue our journey to Side. Side is a street in Manavgat, located about 40 km from Turkler . Once an important Roman port, it is now a modern city full of ruins. Side, which means “pomegranate” in ancient Anatolian, dates back to the 2nd century AD. According to some legends, Side is a land that Antony gave to Cleopatra as a token of his love. It is home to a vast and well-protected ruined site. The amphitheater, the Temple of Apollo, the necropolis (ancient cemetery), and the agora (ancient marketplace) are the highlights of the ruins. You can also shop in Side’s local boutiques before returning to your hotel.
Our last stop is the Manavgat River and its famous waterfall, one of the most photographed sites in Turkey. The white, foaming water of the waterfall rushes over the rocks. It isn’t high, but its flow is powerful. Next to the waterfall, a shady tea garden offers a pleasant relaxation area. Lunch will be served buffet-style at a restaurant on the banks of the Manavgat River.
